April 6th, 2024, 19:00 GMT / 15:00 EST / 14:00 CST / 12:00 PST
We are happy to announce that Factions will be released on Saturday, April 6th, 2024.
It's taken a while to get here, but we think it's been worth it because we've made significant changes to the Factions gamemode.
Not only have we updated everything to be in line with the standard of what Factions is nowadays, but we have also tried our best to keep that nostalgic feeling of Factions while playing at Snapcraft Factions.
We want to thank everyone for their patience during the development of Factions.
We are confident that the changes we have made will make the game even better than before and we can't wait for everyone to get online.
If you want to see a summary of the changes that we have implemented for this reset, please read further.

Changelog
The following are the most important features/modifications implemented toward this season's map and functions.
Beta Map! A shorter map to polish the gameplay
Now that the map is set as map 0, the beta map, we're aiming for everything to run smoothly.
That's why we're calling it map 0.
This allows us to make changes to it both during and after the season, all while giving faction players a new map to explore and enjoy.
Due to this approach, the map will be available for a total of 4 weeks.
With this Beta Map we hope to gather enough feedback, to make the release after this the best we can be with the community.
Map Information! Everything you need to know about the map
Here is a list of useful information you will need to know about how the seasons will look now at Snapcraft Factions.
Our new season of factions will also be running on the 1.8 version of Minecraft, to ensure the most classic feel of Factions once again.
For this map we have decided to start out with a 7 mans, unlimited roster season.
Grace Period (no explosions): 7 days.
First hour: No flight, No wilderness command, No hunger loss, No ender pearls.
World Corners: 12 (3 worlds)
Faction size: 7 members
Faction shield: 18 hours
Cannoning speed: 3 seconds
Season length: 4 weeks (1w grace, 3w TNT)
Are you ready to take home the big prize?
Because we will be hosting a beta map, only the best faction may win. The #1 Faction at the end of the season will win the following:
$350 PayPal.
To keep things fair, every Faction participating must follow our set of rules, breaking these rules will result in to Faction Strikes, which lead in to a temporary value reduction, and can even end up in a disqualification of participating in the Faction Top.
A full list of strikable offenses will be announced shortly after this post has gone live.
Worlds! 3 Worlds to choose from
But what's Factions without its diverse worlds?
The overworld will be your vanilla-generated world, while all the other 2 worlds are flat worlds, ready for you to step into the base-building action.
These 3 worlds are waiting for you and your faction to get that base building going.
The following 3 worlds have been added this season:
Overworld | End World | Nether World |
---|---|---|
5,000 x 5,000 size 3 KOTHs Custom generated terrain | 5,000 x 5,000 size 1 Outpost Flat world of sandstone at Y=30 | 5,000 x 5,000 size 1 KOTH Flat world of netherrack at Y=30 |
Each of these worlds come with their own unique warzone, where you can fight out all of your battles.
Outpost! 3 different Outposts
We're excited to announce that our Factions gamemode will now include three different outposts.
Players can look forward to exploring two standard outposts, designed for regular activities and encounters.
Additionally, there will be one specially designed raiding outpost, offering a unique experience focused on combat and strategy.
Raiding Outpost | Nova Outpost | Cavern Outpost |
---|---|---|
Rewards: 2x Spawner Rate Boost 2x Spawner Rate Boost 500,000 XP Added to the faction bank every 30 minutes. | Rewards: +10% success rate on runes -10% destroy rate on runes | Rewards: Deal +3.5% more damage Deal +10% more damage to Bosses Gain a x1.5 Money Boost |
About the Raiding Outpost.
The raiding outpost is an outpost that will be available during the first week, the grace period.
This outpost has to be taken by raiding the box, where the outpost is located in.
Upon capturing the outpost the raiding outpost world will go on a 30 minute grace period, after this the Faction that has taken the outpost will need to do their best to defend the outpost.
Caverns! Dive in to the warzone caverns
The caverns, situated beneath the spawn area, are prime spots for grinding, offering players the chance to battle mobs for items and money.
This extensive cave system is vast, so it's easy to wander off path—stay alert.
Within these caverns, adventurers will encounter two formidable bosses: the Magma King and the Coral Queen.
Defeating these bosses rewards players with a boss loot bag, packed with incredible treasures.
Runes! Build your loadout
Runes are a form of custom enchantments available for purchase with experience.

Citadel! Prepare for a big battle
We are very excited about this new feature!
We feel as though this new feature will encourage PvP in a team-fight environment and will be well received by all members.
What is the Citadel?
The Citadel is essentially KOTH but on a larger scale. This is an event and would take place every 3 times per week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Keep in mind you only have 3 minutes to enter once the event starts, in which they battle to capture it, and rewards are given to the player that manages to remain inside the citadel capture area for 10 minutes!
When is the Citadel?
Friday: 22:00 server time
Saturday: 19:00 server time
Sunday: 15:00 server time
Pearls and commands are disabled, if you disconnect from the server you will instantly die and won’t be able to return to this event.
Be aware, touching lava means you guessed it instant death. This is the last man standing that you cannot leave, so make sure you are prepared to fight to the out.
Earn great rewards!
You will receive a Citadel Lootbag upon winning the Citadel with your faction.
This loot bag will be given to one of the faction members standing on the Citadel, it is up to the faction to divide the loot equally. Some of the following rewards are within this loot bag, which gives a total of 3 items:
Money | Spawners | Crate Keys | Pvp Sets | Ranks |
