First Step
Hi guys, I'm chckn, the one in charge of the recovery of this incident.
To summarize, we experienced a hard drive failure of our primary database device, due to limitations put forth by our host, hard drive replication was not an option. Fortunately we take regular backups of our systems, resulting in no loss of data. To ensure as little downtime as possible, we'll be hosting our data on a secondary database device whilst awaiting for the primary database device's drive to be replaced.
Since we are dealing with such a large amount of data, this entire operation can take up to a couple of hours.

Apologies for the inconvenience, hard drive failures are extremely infrequent but can be disastrous when they happen, fortunately we've taken proper precautions to minimize the damage.

I'll post an update here once I have a more definite ETA.
