So let's be honest, many of us have nitro, yet not many of us choose to boost Snapcraft. I can guess why. We don’t really have a reason to. Not many people want to boost when all they’re getting is a pink name tag. I among others, would surely agree, that if we had a 'perk' or a 'handicap', boosting would be 1. More enjoyable. and 2. Actually worth it. We were told they we would have perks for boosting, but nothing has come of it so far. HOWEVER I understand Snapcraft has been through it's moments and troubles the past couple months and that staff have been busy addressing the issues. I think it would be nice as a community to help out and maybe give staff an idea of some of the perks we would like to see. I've put my ideas on what i believe could be added below, please feel free to add your own in the comments. This gives Maarten a better understanding of what we want, and how he can add them. Bear in mind, that these are just ideas, you can disagree if you don't like them, but no need to make a big deal out of it. If you do disagree, perhaps leave a comment and just say why, and if there is anything that could be added instead.

Discord Perks:
Personally there isn't much to be added to discord. It's hard seeing its not very 'flexible' with it's abilities. But there could be a few things:
Nitro only channels - This wouldn't be very popular at first, but with more people with nitro, it may become a reason people want to boost. To be a further part of the community. This is also a way to hold nitro events ( see below )
More emotes - We have enough 'normal' emotes currently, ( thanks to Wowoow :-P ) But more animated emotes. This isn't just a nitro perk, but a variety of 'nitro' only emotes could be nice.
Higher Caps / Spam limit - Not by a crazy amount, but just a few extra characters would be cool. Not sure if it's possible though.
Minecraft Perks:
Moving on to the real powerhouse of nitro, our server. I feel there is a potential for the server to be a great way to publish the idea of boosting. It's much more flexible with discord, and honestly could be a really nice addition to 'newer' the server.
[Discord-Booster] - An new rank, this would be a rank that is view able across all servers. Positioned just below staff ranks, and above the highest rank. I'm not too sure what could come with the rank, just the name would be cool. You would still have the perks of you're current rank, but may give the perms for /fly or even a /kit Discord. ( just an idea for a name ). A kit may only need to contain money, just a little, but 'enough'.
Personal events - This could be a way to give back to those giving to the discord. Not even a clue how this could work ( I'll leave it up to you guys ) but a way to receive gems maybe.
Gems on purchase - Another way to encourage boosters would be to add a system that you can get 100-500 ( numbers can vary ) in Snapcraft's own currency - gems!
Server Wide Boosters - nitro boosters could get access to an exclusive server-wide booster, this could be ' McMMO, XP, something like that.

I would also like to note that i'm not expecting all of these things to be added. Although, it would be nice to see some of them. And speaking for myself, i would use both of my boosters if any of these ideas were to be added. I encourage you to be supportive of other's ideas and write your own, as in the end, we are all aiming for perks. As stated above, these are some of the ideas me and Kat could come up with, so please feel free to add on to them or state why you disagree.

I don’t think discord nitro should be put into anything ingame on the actual server, just don’t think they should go together like that. I will add more animated emotes if any are suggested, I try to add suggested regular emotes as well and some of my own that I like myself. I don’t think a nitro channel should be added because the regular channels are mostly full of those who do have nitro and some who don’t so having a channel specifically for nitro would likely leave one or the other dead which I don’t think is good for the discord server to possibly have an inactive regular general chat.
I like the higher spam limit and I think allowing nitro boosters to put images in any chat would be nice.

I can understand that. However, i feel like it's currently one sided, people pay for only a pink name, and it's not really 'fair'. Which is why our boosts are kind of low. We need some kind of perks in 'return'. While merging nitro boosting into our server, may not be ideal, it would be beneficial to both the discord and the players.

thats not how it works, people don't have to agree with your suggestions. Boosting the server more has no benifits, just more space for emojis which are quite useless for the people with nitro.
No ranks on discord are connected to the server so having a discord ingame rank makes no sense, same with having a private chat.

We’ve been told there is going to be perks, I’m just giving ideas. Boosting the server is just a way to support the server, same as donating

I think this is a great idea. I disagree with wowoow that the discord and minecraft server should be separate as if you integrate them closer together, it will bring the community closer together, I’ve seen other servers do this and it works great! Nitro boosting is essentially a donation to the discord server and should be given a better perk than a role. Maybe a daily/weekly nitro booster key in-game. I agree with all of your ideas and hope they get around to this!

That’s a very good idea but might get out of hand very quickly since images take a big chunk out of the chat box which might disturb other chatters, so i think there should be a timer between each image posted to reduce the chances of that happening

I don't think there would need to be a rank on the server just because you choose to boost the server. But however, as stated above we are still waiting on perks to be added but there aren't many perks that can really be added, a voice channel/text channel, access to other bots, post images in general. Im basically saying there is not many perks that can be added. But that's just my opinion there could more perks ideas.

For sure we could look into some perks for boosting, however these would be strictly discord related as having it anywhere else like in-game is unnecessary in my opinion.
