ive heard possible bedrock or a command block... seen it on other servers but bedrock could interfere with the voting system unless they change it... idk just a guess.

It was cool seeing all of the snapshots in action through peoples' videos. People already have letters, logos, etc. created for banners, but I personally haven't seen much of the research behind underwater structures. Still looks cool, though. Mojang managed to pull something from under the rug that makes Minecraft feel a bit more awesome. It especially adds a sort of modded feel to me, I guess. Except no really really clever items for killing a boss xD

Also, the thing about sponges... We actually had a nice argument about that throughout the Staff, and I think we've figured out a solution. You don't have to know until then, but it isn't a very complicated answer. \o/

If you're talking to me, then naaah.
But I will say, I don't like the changes to enchanting. Lapis and levels... Plus you have to go through the effort of just making an enchanting table. Fah. I can understand that lava/ obsidian is near the same level as lapis, but come on. They could've used something else. Maybe ender pearls, who knows. Experienced magic users might be facepalming a bit.

Toggling visible layers on skins, that's as expected. Makes my pirate ninja combo skin even sweeter for people. New commands are really cool, we'll have some quality adventure maps pop up... I forgot, they added mutton. Yeees. Shapes of blocks (aka 3d detail) can be changed along with the textures. Kool stuff.

You know, I would've expected Mojang to have player height changing before they messed with body thicknesses. Thin arms are awkward. Actually it would be a complete player resize, since just the height would mess up the textures. Whatevs. "Lots and lots of changes" basically covers technical shizwaz, bug fixy things, a few occasional tiny model changes for things, all that stuff.

What else... Buttons on ceilings are cool, and they actually haven't taken care of Herobrine. Expect to see him pop up somewhere in the future ;3 But you didn't hear that from me. Shhhh.

wet sponges can be cooked in a furnace to make them dry again and they can absorb more water

Yeah sponges have some really cool properties. You can place them, and I think they remove water blocks in a 5 block radius. Makes easy under water houses etc. If you use a lava bucket in the furnace on wet sponges, and leave the bucket in, the bucket actually gets water in it from one sponge.

I actually looked at another one of Swimmingbird's videos on 1.8 and got updated on the underwater temples. Looks pretty cool and annoying to navigate xD
