Trivia Night Winners & Feedback

As many of you know, we recently had an event night and we had a huge turnout! We saw roughly 50+ concurrent members on our Trivia night event channel! We will be looking to improve this event in the coming months. Thank you to all of those who showed up and answered a few questions, and we hope to see you at our next event! Here we will be conducting a little feedback thread of what you personally liked and what we could have done better. Keep in mind we are looking for constructive criticism in this thread. Any non-constructive criticism may be disregarded. Please also take a moment to vote in the poll provided on want you thought about the event questions.

Here are the winners of this trivia event... (Your reward will be given in the form of 2000 /gems which can be used in /rewards to obtain gift codes)
  • iryry_
  • jrbackus x2
  • succmyeggroll
  • silent_opacity
  • boredish
Again, thanks for the turnout! Questions to help you think on what to say: How did we do with Question transitions? Was all the content that was said appropriate? Did you find it unfair? shoutout to @Jedz & @Legitmon for hosting this event!

Suggestion: If it’s possible, make it so you can disable name tags and make people invisible. There was a lot of “following the leader” going on. But i very much enjoyed it even though i’m new to the server and didn’t know much of the server’s history<3

It was a fun event, if you’re planning on doing it again I’d suggest getting more questions and if possible a few more staff to ask the questions and talk since it got a bit quiet every now and then. But it was enjoyable and I’d love to do it again! :)

Okay...I didn't really expect the event to start early as I thought. It was still very great though! I didn't really participate, but I am assuming the staff exceedingly has done their job.

I really enjoyed it, there's really not much that needs to be changed. Hopefully there will be another one soon.

Next time, it would be nice to see the floors get dropped every time. It was possible to hide in the corners and avoid getting dropped if the staff running it saw nobody in the other rooms.

Or it was possible to just not be seen at all,

The trivia event was okay, i enjoyed it and i believe it brings the community of snapcraft together although i think that maybe some of the questions involving personal life shouldn't be involved. For example "what is Trenton/_WhiteMidnight_'s eye colour" i think it makes the event a-lot more difficult as there are only a few of the players in the event that know his eye colour. With some of the questions the players could also easily cheat by going online to the forums to find the answers of the questions asked, other than these minor things i think that the event was well done, Alice and Legit have done really well at keeping it organised and fun for everyone. Thank you for the fun night :)

I agree with the previous comments, but overall the event was fun. Thank you Jedz and Legitmon for hosting the event.

Next time I will drop the floors every-time and I will look into an option for making the players invisible. However having more than two people hosting an event would be too hectic, although it may have gotten slightly quiet at times I feel that having more would create talking over the top of one another as I know that both Legitmon and myself found even as event managers we would sometimes talk at the same time.Questions-wise we did struggle to come up with the "Snapcraft/Staff" side of things, hence why some of the questions were quite random and personalized because we were trying to get more people out with harder questions. Next time we will look into harder questions that perhaps aren't able to be researched. ;-) Thank you for all your feedback! Please feel free to PM me with any other feedback or ideas for other events and projects in the upcoming future. Cheers!

I liked it a lot. It was just very late at night for me.

It was great, except some questions were kinda impossible to be answered and not exactly trivia? Because of the fact there was a need for so many questions a lot of random questions ended up being made to fill the need for questions.
Like there was a question which was something like "What is _Whitemidnight_'s eye colour?"

Also there was quite a few times where it was quite easy to miss the question. So maybe next time have chat muted and have the staff send the question in chat? This would also give people less time as most people were just googling the answers to some of the harder ones.

Last thing I can say is that there was quite a few staff questions which would've been difficult to know if you weren't staff or previously had been staff. Like punishment lengths that mods can give out. Also I think there was a question about who the developer was for ZombieV or something.
If you're going to have staff related questions it might be easier/fairer to do something like "What colour is the rank for builder?"

Oh and there was a question about where @Jedz is from but the answer they gave was wrong. They said she was from New Zealand when she's actually Australian.

The color from builder is purple, right?

Thanks for your feedback Ben, Will take it all into consideration apart from that last sentence ;-)
