I am aware that i am posting this in the skyblock thread, as i feel this idea will most commonly be used here and maybe on survival/realms.
Loads of new (and veteran) players fall foul to some nasty scams by other well known players. Since scamming is not technically a bannable offence, there is not a lot you as staff members can do, which often leaves the players feeling helpless.
My suggestion is adding a reputation system. A system quided by points that is only visible via a command, which shows the reputation of a player.
Example:
Baseline value will be zero. everytime a player helps someone, or has a successful trade, it goes up.
Every time a player is banned, or scams, it goes down.
Obviously there will have to be some form of moderation, which is why i was hesitant to post this. so dont shoot me down just yet. For things like successful trades, that doesnt require much moderation, as you may be able to base it off the trading system you already have. Donating money to new players could be a server added reputation command, added along side the /pay command.
This system could be open to people trying to "farm" these reputation points, so to help limit that, maybe put a cap on how many you can earn a day, or doing a particualar thing.
