Added KotH and it's problems.

This server would greatly benefit from raising the KotH win rewards, but also adding a few corners to the Outposts. Right now, if by any luck enough people are bored, there will be a fight at KotH. But never because people care about the reward. During a KotH, every participant carries around at least 1.5mil worth of gear on him, usually much more, especially when u10 sets are in play, it's just not worth to them when the reward is a few emeralds and 25k (the koth reward very rarely values at more than 100k, which factions make in half an hour).

On every other server I have played on, KotH is something big and something worth dying for. Nothing would be lost if the default reward would be raised to 1 legendary key. It adds exitement and something worth fighting for. It would also increase the sales of legendary keys as more are opened, talked about and bought out of bad luck with the free one.

KotH outposts should also get a little rework that they deserve, and get some complexity with counterplay. Right now, especially with being able to go full invis with /d and invis pots, knocking someone off KotH isn't something that requires any skill or teamwork. This makes capping KotH inherently unfun and people just do it out of pure boredom. I have seen multiple KotH's lately just end with noone winning.



TL;DR - Raising the reward to 1 legendary key and making the outposts more complex would add fun, action and things to do, while also making people buy more god sets and legendary keys because there would actually be something to fight over.

That sounds like a fantastic idea! 1.5 mil of gear? Dude anyone with a gaxe has more than that on them. 3-4 people with u8 and gaxes+ a few stacks of gaps would be around the 8-10 mil in gear mark. Why would they want to ruin their gear and waste gaps for 25k and 2 uncommon keys?
Yeah, the high cost of armor combined with high /fix and /fixall cooldowns makes it just not worth the risk for 98% of the playerbase.

okay so i agree partly, koth needs corners and the time to cap needs to be reduced to 5 minutes at least, the only problem I see with receiving legendary keys after every win is that the richer will get richer. I liked envoys because they brought balance to people with ranks and people without.

Yeah that's what I thought about at first, but legendary keys pricing at 200k-300k each would, even if only one faction would win every koth, only give out a daily total reward of 1.2mil. It would also give a chance for PvP oriented factions to have their own thing without forcing them to build cactus and defending spawners for income.

Like surtur. The entire “payouts” of koth would be around that 1 mil-1.4 or so mil mark which is about the same amount of money a single medium sized IG farm or large sized pumpkin produces. That being said, it wouldn’t affect the economy nearly as much as a single large farm yet would bring together entire factions to pvp. I mean personally I have 4 double chests of unused p5 u3 and 5 maxed gsets (plus a new set of p5 u3 everyday on average from my accounts) yet they almost never get used because there’s really nothing worth fighting for at koth. Finally, to be honest, I think pvping and being actually active should be more valued than just afking all day.

Loot needs to be more sustainable so what you get is worth the risk of losing 2+mil of stuff.

Especially since there is no “all in fighting” place like a pvp pit. You can easily escape all the pvp areas. Koth let’s you epearl and run away (prompting 20 minute long chases) and surtur allows you to run away as well.

also to add on if you win koth there should be a chase for who won. Koth should give a key that opens like a crate called a koth key that you can obtain good items in. the chase would make it a lot more fair and fun aswell. Ive played many hcf servers and maps in my time and capped a lot of koths. there are normally 20 people on it at all times and if you cap it you will be chased hard and requires skill to run and escape.

Yeah, to be honest the reward could even be higher, but 1 legendary key could be a good starting point to later build on if need be.

Great idea, as a player that used to play factions quite a lot, when KOTH's first came onto the server it was a very exciting announcement, but then when we had began to win the KOTHs eventually we decided they just weren't worth the time and effort to do them. So better rewards would be great, and I agree would definitely influence more PVP on the server!

Agreed, koth loot hasnt accomodated for how stacked ppl have been getting compared to last reset and the one before lol. Aswell as maxed sets and weapons being added on the store. Beacons, wskulls, ceggs, gapps etc should have a higher % to get. Stuff you'd risk dying for.
