Survival Reset

The only reason I'd really like to know if there will be one soon is because I don't know if I should start building new things because if there is a reset soon building things would be pointless kind of.

There is no date planned for the reset yet. So there is no reason to worry about your builds Could be months until the reset. But for now, no reset has been scheduled

okay, thanks how much notice will we get when the reset date is determined?

It will be posted on the forums. Most likely by iMaartennn.

I've already heard that staffs are working on an upgrade, adding the 1.12 new blocks and stuff. It regards few questions. Is the upgrade coming with a reset? Because I think if an upgrade is now in process, a schedule is being used or planned. If you have a project without a schedule and pipelines with tasks deadlines, this can take forever. To make it clearer, the upgrade is one thing, and the server reset is another. But I wonder what is going on and what has so far being done. I clearly see a lack of information from Maarten and his staffs here. I don't wanna start a fight, LOL, but I really would like to know what are you guys doing if you guys don't have a plan? Thanks!

My opinion about the reset is favourable. I loved the Jasonstover9's idea of creating a quest system. Mining feels weird when you can easily buy any kind of block you need from the shop. Maybe rare mining and PvPing rewards would motivate everyone, especially the PvP players. A fresh giant world with the new 1.12 features would be awesome. However, I don't like the idea of deleting the world we have now, with the old buildings and stuff.

Well you can't really have both, you can't get a whole other world plus the current one. No one wants to see their builds go, I remember back in like 2014 I had these awesome pumpkin farms, tree houses, and shop and it was hard to see that go but it's good to have a fresh start and create new things. Point is, it's one or the other, the staff are already working really hard.

If no reset is announced yet, there is no reason to be worried

Staff keep claiming no reset date yet but I wouldn't start building anything new as they could just announce a reset next week.

If that would be the case you could also just leave the whole server as a reset could be next week. But luckily it isn't. So don't think a reset will be next week! It will be announced way before the actual reset
