Fullbright bug?

So, I don't believe that this is a problem directly related to the server because I'm having the same issue in singleplayer worlds, but for some reason, everything is completely bright no matter where I go.
Here's a video demonstrating the issue, where I dug myself into a hole with no light, and it was still bright in there:

And here's a forced crash report, in case anyone knows how to find the issue that way. Or if someone just needs more info.

I'm using Optifine Ultra B7 preview, and even when I go into normal Minecraft versions, I have the same issue.

I had this issue a little while back, and I have no idea what I did to fix it.
EDIT: No, I do not have night vision in effect.

Yeah, but I've been using this one basically ever since I started playing the game, getting the updated versions every update. I've had this one in particular for a couple of months and this problem just started.

To fix this issue simply adjust your brightness level close the pause menu, reopen it and adjust it back to the preferred level.
