I'm new and I lost my sponge!

Hi.

I was mining 21x21x21 blocks and then I wanted to change the sponge spot. I mined it and it completely disappeared. I've reconnected several times, it's still vanished.

/protect list said I have no regions, I've searched everywhere (chests, inventory, around the spot...) and I found nothing.

I sent a message to jrbackus, a helper, he said I should buy another sponge. Ok, it costs 15k and I'm new, unfair. I won't spend hours to farm money in order to get another sponge because of a bug...


What should I do pls?
