Are Having Alts Allowed On Factions?

Hey guys just a simple question & I wouldn't mind some feedback from everyone!

Are you allowed to have an alt/multiple alts logged in while you are on your main account?

This could be good for factions since you could use your alts to AFK your farms while you do something else :-D

Alts are allowed for AFKing as far as I know
