Bug with being mute

Awhile back I was muted on creative for "profanity" for 5 days and I play the server "Survival" a lot so when i tried to get to the auction house it wouldn't work this is not an appeal for the mute just letting you know (I don't know if this is a bug or a known thing)

Players who are muted can't use the auction house, it was made this way because players abused the ability.

In the past people who were muted were naming things or using books and putting them in auction to bypass their mute, that is why you cannot use the action house until you are unmuted.
