No you can either spend it on your friend or yourself, not both of you.

Coupon can be used only once, so you have to pick between your friend or you... Also be aware, for example, if you pick only a 5USD item and do the checkout using the coupon, it will be gone, you can't reuse the code for the 15 USD left.
