How do I add resource packs?

I need help with adding resource packs like shaders and stuff. Most YT tutorials already have Java (not Minecraft but Java itself) on the computer but I don't. Any help is welcome!

Install java - download resource pack and unzip it - Go to windows search - type %appdata% - go to .minecraft folder - go to resource packs folder(may vary) - Put the unzipped resource pack folder into the resource packs folder.
