How To Downgrade Your Version (minecraft Guide)

So Snapcraft has not updated to 1.8 yet and you still want to play on Snapcraft. Read this guide and follow along. In this guide I am using 1.7.5 and I recommend you use 1.7.5 the latest 1.7 version were skins show up properly. I am on a mac and this guide works on all Platforms that run Minecraft on your computer.


Step 1.

Click New Profile and this should show up:

Note: You can name your profile what ever you like also.



Step 2. Click on use version which should look like this:

Step 3:

Click on Use Version and Change it to this it should look like that.
Step 4:

Click Save Profile.

Step 5:

Your launcher Profile Should look like that and your done :).

I'm thinking that most of us have custom set Minecraft versions anyways, since I never saw the point in having the latest patches for add-ons I didn't care about. Also, you would have to skim through a tutorial on this over on Youtube if you wanted to fix player heads, player skins, or install Optifine. Regardless, this is a handy thing to post for new and old players alike.

Just to mention it, we probably all know this...
My proof, how is everyone here on sc in 1.7.2 from 1.6.4 so in my opinion it wasn't so useful, no hard feelings :)
