and some other advice.

This thread is long. Read it carefully.
So you just got into a PVP match with someone and you think you were wronged in some way? Now you want to make a player report or contact staff and see some kind of ban, kick, or other punishment? STOP, we have a few things you are going to need to know before you continue.

Here at Snapcraft we have a really simple set of rules. They are found at the following link:

Reading those rules will help you understand what is and is not report-able.

Making a Good Support Ticket
When you feel that you have caught a hacker, cheater, or someone has wronged you in some way we encourage you to fill out a support ticket. Here are 3 great reasons why:

1. It creates a record.
2. It gives us time to get to it. We can ban, mute, or warn at any time.
3. It gets it in front of all of the staff. More minds means more mind power.

So how do you make a ticket that will get what you desire to happen?

1. Add evidence. This is the most important part! Example: If you want to show trapping trapping and luring in screen shots:
- Show us the teleport request.
- Show us another shot of you teleporting (it shows up in chat)
- Show us you were tagged in combat upon arrival.

In the case of chat offenses, you must show us more than one line of chat. This means if someone says something offensive and its said only once, we cant go in game and warn them to stop. They already stopped. But if its several times, keep hitting F2 and do not participate. We appreciate as many screenshots as required!

2. When it comes to evidence: Video evidence is the only way we can prove a player who hacked, unfairly attacked, or scammed. In that regard lets look at a few things that are vital to this:
- Lag looks like some kinds of hacks. If you are unsure let us decide in a ticket. But accept what we decide. A staff never bans without other staff seeing the evidence. So, making the argument that the staff has it out for you. Wont work if you are banned.

3. Be clear in the body of the report. Tell the whole story as clearly as you can. We want to hear exactly what happened. Many players get a report denied because a staff looks at the ticket, sees the images shared, and doesn't see any wrong doing.

4. Evidence does not include an eyewitness. We cant refund money, give you in game items, or ban someone because you have an eyewitness. We have to see what happened in images or preferably in video.

Now we look at common questions:

Q: How do I get video of every session?
A: You don't need to. Simply record any potential PVP, or record encounters with other players. For instance, if you see someone tell everyone to teleport to them. Start your recording and then teleport. Don't teleport first and get mad later. It wont help. Or keep pressing the screen shot key (F2 on PC Minecraft) to capture each moment. But in the case of PVP where a hacker might be involved. We need video of it.

Q: How do I get video?
A: I use OBS recording software. Others use Bandicam. I have even seen someone hold their phone steady aimed at the PC and recorded the session. If its clear we can use it. You can upload videos to Youtube for free and share the share links with us. If you have youtube fans and you don't want the videos going out to them. Turn off share with subscribers, and make the video unlisted on the upload screens.

Some Helpful Advice

1. Your survival plot is protected by a sponge that is centered on a 21X21X21 area. This means from your sponge you are safe to build up to 10 blocks away (not counting the sponge). If you put another sponge next to it you have to go where the two regions wont overlap. This means 20 blocks. Anywhere outside of that zone is fair game since we would have no way to know who's chest it was originally. So, put your chests inside that protection zone.

2. On Skyblock you hold all the power on your island. If you got to /is settings you can turn off PVP on your island. You can also turn off chests, hoppers, furnaces, and etc. Doing that, don't coop other players, or add them as island partners if you don't trust them. If you add someone to your island and they turn on you its hard for staff to justify punishing them when you gave them full permission to attack (pvp on) and full use of your chests. When in doubt don't add people. I have always had two island partners and they have never stolen from me or messed with my stuff. They build their own houses, farm, and add to the community we have. Because I have chosen carefully.

3. If you knowingly engage in PVP with someone outside of a PVP arena you accept almost all of the risks. If they defeat you and take a God set of armor, your favorite sword, or they are really powerful, you can not blame anyone but yourself for engaging them in PVP. They might use buddies, potions, or really powerful weapons. It is the nature of the PVP of Minecraft. If you think they hacked fill out a ticket with proof. Before you PVP 1 v 1 or 1 v 2, etc. You should start a screen recorder.
