Proxy / VPN

Hey, I use to play on this server before, but due to my PC running slow I stopped, I got myself a thing called Shadow (Virtual PC) Shadow.tech and I wanted to get back into this server but due to shadow being based in a French Database centre and I am from the UK on a lot of Minecraft servers it says I am using a Proxy or a vpn, which isn't the case. Could i get any assistance?
