Redstone Blocks lose profit

The math doesn't add up here. Picture number 1 displays diamond blocks. 9*530 does equal $4770 (which is right) but Picture 2 shows redstone blocks. 37*9 is $333 which is not $176 so you lose profit by converting them into blocks (which saves space). Is it supposed to be this way?

All of them are losing money. Like this maybe:

You know how you advance in "level games" where you have a level and you level up, it gets harder as you level up more. Like Call of Duty fore say.

I mean the redstone blocks specifically though. $37 for 1 redstone dust * 9 (for 1 block) = $333 which is more than the in-game $176 and it bothers me (for some reason)
