Skyblock Spawner Question

So I have a spawner that has been renamed on skyblock.
If I place will it become a pig spawner that actually spawns pigs? or will it not work anymore, or will it become whatever it was before getting renamed (not to sure).

If the spawner is renamed it will still spawn the mob it was originally intended to spawn, And spawners will always spawn the mob inside of the spawner.
