Spawner not working

I dont know if anyone can help, but on skyblock i placed 4 different spawners (chicken, rabbit, horse and mooshroom) and 3 of the have been working completely fine but the mooshroom wont spawn at all? i dont know if it means anything, but the animal inside the spawner spins alot faster that the others. Does anyone know why this is and what to do about it?

Did you place the mooshroom spawner in a mycelium block? If not that could possibly be the reason.
