"What is the best way to make money?" is probably the most frequently asked question in all of Skyblock (aside from how to restart your island. It's /is reset, guys.)
To answer this question, I shall rank all ways of making money and find the easiest way to make the largest amount of money.
Selling in the Shop.
You can easily sell items in /shop by hitting the red stained glass or bucket on the item you want to sell. It's good for newbies who have a useless stack of 64 stone and want some money for that. You can also sell the bigger items in /ah, like, say, your heavily enchanted diamond pick or Konrad Freestun's head (quite possibly the most valuable item in-game). You use /ah sell (price) to do so. Simple, easy, but ineffective without knowing said item's price.
Prize Money.
There are small chances of getting money in certain crates. Some people also host lotteries for said money, but demand a certain item or amount of money beforehand (say, 1 diamond for a chance to win 5K), and depending on the amount of popularity and users, you could have a decent chance at winning.
Sign Shops.
Creating a sign with the following format leads to creating a sign shop:
(Player Name)
(Quantity)
B (Buy Price) and/or S (Sell Price)
(Item ID)
Doing this will let a user hit the sign and buy or sell their desired item. Perfect with a warp, but you sadly need 1.5K to create a sign. Not much for some people tho. You can also create profit shops using sign shops, but depending on the type, it can be slow going depending on the popularity.
Charity.
Perhaps some kind fellow will come by, see you have only 2K, and do /pay (your name here!) 500. Or someone will gift you a spawner and you'll decide to sell it and make a couple hundred grand. This isn't reliable tho.
Grinding.
You can go to a free grinder (or use your own if you got one) and sell the items you gain from it. The /warp grinder is slow going, but if someone's got an open IG (Iron Golem) spawner...
Vote Party.
Every time you vote you add 1 to the Vote Party. 150 global votes, and, well, you could get a key to sell or win money from, or just money directly. It's usually in small amounts and the keys are usually Common-Uncommon. But hey, you could get lucky.
And that's it as far as I can remember. I believe the greatest out of these 6 is...
Pause for dramatic effect...

Sign Shops! It needs some money before hand, but can help you reach outstanding wealth depending on the item.
And that's all. Sail on, fellow Minecraftians, sail on!
