So staff being superior to the player is wrong and needs to stop.
As we all should be equal, the rules should apply the same.

For example if someone harasses a player, it is only a warn
But a disrespect of staff can lead to your entire forums lost being removed

We all are human and should be treated equally regardless of our rank

I think this is right as it is now. As a previous staff for a couple of years ago, I got banned/removed for swearing etc. for months. So abuse to staff gets bigger punishments as it should be, but staff abusing others gets much bigger punishments than a normal player. So it goes both ways.

But all in all if people just dont disrespect, no consiquence is given.

All in all every person is treated the same of what is wrong and bad.

There are a few indicators that makes this a joke thread.
1. You and your history of making random threads that don’t have any point
2. Your first sentence
3. You misinterpret equality, even communism seems like a better idea.

If you are serious then here’s two things.

Your example is already a protected rule of the server. Staff can not say bad things to you and you can not say bad things to staff.

Your whole idea on equality and your explanation on how it applies to the server makes me cringe so hard that even third wave feminism doesn’t look bad.

lol, if we should all be treated equally regardless of our rank then whats the point in having staff members? Let's just not have any ranks and lets all be equal, shall we? I laughed when I saw the title of this thread, "Staff hierarchy needs to stop", if hierarchy wasn't a thing; everything would go to pot, lets be honest here.

I don't play this anymore, but I'm pretty certain the rules do apply the same, infact its more lenient towards the player rather than the staff member; if a staff member does something which is breaking the rules then they are more likely to be punished more severely due to it, like @AndreasManU said, he got rick rolled for swearing. If you see a staff member doing something of which you believe is breaking the rules, just report it rather than complaining that they are getting away with it, because if you're not reporting it you're the reason why they are getting away with it.

As stated above, the rules do apply to staff members. The only difference is that we have the ability to enforce the rules, which in all honesty you can do as well through reporting. Staff members are leniant depending on who you’re dealing with because we understand people make errors. I really don’t see where you are coming from with this argument.

We have the same rules to follow just like any player. And just as any other player, we are punished the same ( or worse ). We, in a way, have to be superior to the player in order to be able to perform our jobs. If we were equal to the player, Maarten would have a mile long list of support tickets to go through; rather than that, we are able to assist him in completing the tickets by being a bit more than the player (helper). Even if it was only the Admin team and Maarten the work would overload them easily. So, just as in any society there is a social rank within Snapcraft.

This is a joke thread.
Of course everyone should follow the same rules, I'm pretty sure none of the staff here feel so entitled that they feel that they're allowed to break the rules just because they're staff. It's honestly common sense.
Even though I have been on a server where the staff think they're entitled and all.. That's a long story for another time. c':
