Video Evidence Isn't The Only Form Of Evidence With Merit.

Screenshots can be effectively used as proof of hacking, So my question is, why are all reports without video evidence being instantly denied? Why put such strict policies in place? My opinion, make sure helpers and admins alike are well informed on what hacking looks like. It's not all killaura, speed and criticals. Players can hack to change their font type in chat, walk on water, rapid fire arrows, fly, exc... All of which can be caught in a screen capture. To deny these reports, is encouraging hackers to continue making players' experience on Snapcraft less than enjoyable.

Walking on water? Someone could be running. Rapid fire arrows? They could just have a lot of arrows everywhere from shooting a lot or shooting quickly at close range. There are some instances in which hacking can be solved with screenshots, but not with all hacks.

You could use your phone to record it. As long as the quality is good enough for us to see what's happening and their name tag it's fine.

If someone sends you a screenshot that undoubtably proves a player is hacking, you should recognise that and take action.

Yeah, but players don't send those types of screenshots. If a player is using killaura, and someone takes a screenshot of them hitting someone from far away, that may be one thing providing it's really good. But for most hacks, it's really difficult to tell via a screenshot. Many other features, such as lag and just normal fighting will show up instead of hacks.

And like @TheWiggster99 said, it's not hard to record.

Ehhh... hacks that change fonts in game are patched on most servers... and thats a pretty lame hack most people won't use. Most hacks can't be identified with screenshots. like @iamontda said, you could time screenshots and make it look like a hack. Videos are most reliable.

Font doesn't effect gameplay at all, yes, it's a hack, but the gameplay isn't effected as a result of it, so your last statement is invalid. Depends on the server for flying. I know Lucky Block Brawl you can double jump, so that's why when someone sends a screenshot of it, we can't be certain. Walking on water, the player could just of be holding space bar etc. Rapidfire arrows needs a video as well, reason was stated

Moral of the story told above? Use a screen recorder, makes it easier (general).

I think that screenshots are useless as everyone says, screen recorders are easy

I prefer OBS. It's great, free, and simple to use. I personally think screenshots shouldn't be valid proof.

Screenshots are only able to prove extreme cases of hacking and client sided hacks (they'll have to screenshot it themselves). Which is why when people send a report of hacks with screenshots as proof we will most likely deny it.
Of course screenshots can be used as proof for chat offenses
