Anvil Repairing

I was wondering how many times you can repair something with an anvil... I have heard a lot of different stuff like when I bought gboots, the guy told me that they had been anvil repaired once and had 2 more left. But, whenn i rist started playiing, I heard that a pickaxe can be repaired 7 times...
So I was wondering how many repairs an itemm can have and if the amount of repairs varies depending on the type of item. Thx

Also, isthere any limit on the amount of repair tokens you can use on an item?

I don't think there is a limit on how many reps you can use

Hi there! The limit to repair something depends on how damaged etc the item is, but on average it is around 7 times in the anvil before it becomes unable to be repaired.

To be clear, there are no limits on the amount of repair tokens you can use, so if you have them, your items may never break!
