Custom enchants, do they work on books?

Hey all, I looked around I was not sure to find anything but do the custom enchants also work on books?
Or do you really have to enchant a tool to try to get them?

they should work on books. im not to sure.

They work on books as well. If it doesn't work, put a normal vanilla enchant like Smite and the rest of the enchants will transfer as well.

Mind Blown. I never knew I could put those on books. That changes things.
Of course I did just learn how to properly use the lucky miner one...so ya.
