Well, I doubt there's going to be a fourth game. If there is, that's fine, Scott's getting his rent paid for another year or two, no biggie. If there is a fourth game, I think it'll just be drawn out and pretty much the same as the others, just with a bunch of backstory covered. The third game gave me a lot of closure after the good ending, because 30 years later you'd successfully released all of the children from harm's way.
The thing is, Scott was trying to make a game that people would bid "successful", but as an independent developer others didn't pay attention to his games much and his art style looked like animatronic characters (totally creepy if you look at his gameplay videos, so you can tell that he probably got the idea for a horror game through feedback of his other games). Now that this is shockingly successful, it's left huge marks to be found on his resume for anyone wanting to hire him.
