No there is not a way to keep your inventory when you die regardless which server you are on (Excluding creative). Keep inventory is disabled for a reason, so the chances of the owners changing it is far fetched, doubtful.

And there are a few mini-games that allow you to keep your inventory, such as LBB, Earthgames, ZombieV, and Creative (There may be a few more, not sure)

I have been on a few servers that allow u to keep inventory. Even if it was just a option which u wanted that would be cool just saying not trying to be hated just because I gave my Thoughts.

On Survival, /warp shop should take you to a villager. Right click, and you should be able to purchase things, as well as sell items. Also, money can be used to buy things from other players (/pay [Player name] [Amount])Just be sure you pick someone trustworthy to buy from. Scamming tends to occur every now and then (They can be reported, if valid proof is given) :)
