Hey Snapcraft!​

We are thrilled to announce the reset of the KitPvP server! This will take place on December 2nd, 2023. The well-loved LMS event will be taking place 2 hours before the official release! This should give the event sufficient time to run, and have the reset on time. We have listened to feedback, and made significant changes for this map. Step in, and read the rest of the post! We hope the community will take well to it.​

We understand that there have been mixed feelings on the previous reset at the start, but we think the community slowly eased into them. We have taken the time to change some of the existing features to make Snapcraft more like it was before, whilst also being able to keep new content to entertain a variety of players. With the fresh reset, we have brought in brand new features for players to sink their teeth into and explore!​

We believe that the changes we have implemented will enhance your Snapcraft experience. For a more comprehensive overview of all the changes we have made, please read on.​

Changelog
The following are the most important features/modifications implemented toward this season's map and functions.

New! Map​

​

For this season of KitPvP, the Team have been busy completing revamping an old and rather dull map! We have spend time transforming this map into a Winter Dreamland four our players to enjoy this festive season. We have considered the musts for a KitPvP Map, and what makes it brilliant. We hope that the community will enjoy slaying on this battlefield.​

Removed! Pets​

​

The tough decision to remove pets from this map of KitPvP has been made. This was following a discussion with the team, and from you, the community on our most recent poll. We think they were an interesting addition, but perhaps didn’t fit the needs of the community and were not having the desired effects during god fights.​

We do not foresee adding them back to KitPvP in the near future, but their base will be useful for a different gamemode!​

Removed! Special Items​

​

Similarly to pets, the difficult decision to remove all special items from the game has been made. Special items were certainly not well received by the majority of the community, and therefore have been removed.​

New! Gang Points​

​

Gang points, one of the most important currencies within the KitPvP gamemode. We are happy with the changes made last season to gang points, and think it has enhanced the competition. However, we want to take it one step further, and make gang points available for players who are engaging with other parts of the server.​

​

We have added gang points for the top 5 members on /fish top during an event. Furthermore, there are gang points on offer for the top 3 gangs in the new hardpoint event.​

New! Hardpoint Event​

​

We’d like to introduce our newest event, being Hardpoint! For those that are not familiar with it, all the details you need to know for this event can be found below. You can type /events to see when they will take place!​

What is it? Every 45 seconds, an area is designated as the ‘capture point’ where players need to stand inside, in-order to get points. These points accumulate over the duration of the event, and the team with the most points at the end will win the rewards. This event requires users to be in a gang.​

​

How do I know where to capture? ​

The coordinates of the next capture point will appear inside of the chat, and be broadcasted for all members to see! Head there quickly and start earning some points.​

​

How does a team get points? ​

Players must stand inside of the area to get points. If there are multiple teams inside of this area, no-one will get the points until it is just one team that occupies the area. Your team will get 1 point for every 1 second that you are stood inside of the capture point, uncontested.​

​

What are the rewards? ​

The top 3 gangs will be rewarded with the prizes. The gang leader will get the rewards for the entire gang. The money will be automatically added to their balance, the rare keys to /maildelivery and the gang points added to your total. Ensure you are in a gang with people you trust to share the rewards fairly. If not, make a new one and ask some other friends to help you take over Snapcraft!​

• 1st: 7.5k, 3 rare keys, 150 gang points.
• 2nd: 5k, 2 rare keys, 75 gang points
• 3rd: 2.5k, 1 rare key, 35 gang points.

How often would the event take place? ​

This event would take place every 4 hours, just like the fish contest. You can do /events to see when this happen.​

How often does the point move?​

Every 45 seconds a new point should be determined.​

​

How many points are there in total?​

There will be 5 different hardpoint locations. 1 by 1, it will progress the designated capture points. They should then occur 4 times each during the course of the event (if our maths is correct)!​

​

How long does the event last for in total?​

The event will last for a total of 15 minutes.​

Updated! Enchants ​

​

Enchantments form the core of our KitPvP server, so we have spent the time in thinking of what should stay, and what should go. We have also thought carefully about what enchantments were too overpowered, and were having a negative effect on gameplay. All of the ‘annoying’ enchants have been reworked to provide a more friendly experience for our players. You can view the changelog for enchantments below:​

Changed:​

• Thor Enchant activates less.
• Health Boost now gives half a heart, instead of a full heart.
• Deflate now gives your attackers wither 1, rather than wither 3 and poison 3.

• Counter-Attack
• Block
• Night Vision
• Lumberjack
• Speedy

We hope that by making these changes to the enchants, it will provide a more balanced and enjoyable playing environment for our players.​

Updated! Seasonal Lootcrate​

We would like to introduce the brand new lootcrate on KitPvP which will be here to stay for the entire season! This will be called the Frosty Lootcrate. This will have the normal items inside, which make KitPvP awesome!​

This will be available in the /goldshop from the start of the season for our players to buy!​

Updated! Custom Armour Sets​

Custom Armour Sets are here to stay, and are better than ever before. Just like the enchants, we’ve taken the time to retune the sets, and ensure that all of the ‘annoying’ aspects have been removed. There is no longer any strength 2 or speed 3, and the bonuses that are given are very straight forward. Most of the sets are centred around giving players more rewards for completing actions on the server, so make sure that you have a set equipped! And, don’t die.​

We hope to see you in-game rocking a shiny custom armour set. All of the available sets are:​

• Dragonscale
• Fisherman
• Bandit
• Archangel
• Midas

  Updated! PvE​

We feel like the loot zombies have been a well received feature, and are currently a way for all players to obtain loot. We have decided to keep them on KitPvP, but update their look and loot pool.​

​

All of the pets and special items have been removed, and the special sets and weapons are all correct. We have also added a variety of armour, swords and bows into the loot pool, to allow players to get good armour, without feeling like they are risking their god loadout to drop into PvP!​

​

We will see you in-game to see if you can get your hands on it first! Loot Zombies will continue to give gang points. And the health of the paladin mobs will remain at 50.​

Updated! Crates​

Keeping with the theme, all of the vaulted items have been removed from our crates. We’ve also snuck in a few new additions, which we think will add a different element to PvP. Find out what they are by jumping into game and trying them out for yourselves!​

All of our crates are available to purchase on our /goldshop too. You can purchase gold at Snapcraft Store | Welcome.​

Fixed! Bugs​

We have been hard at work quashing some of the annoying bugs on our KitPvP Server. Anything that still isn't fixed, please let us know on Discord so we can look to get it done ASAP!​

Misc. Updates & Changes​

Multiple small changes have been made, some of these small changes are the following:​

• The /trade plugin has been re-enabled.
• Potions have been sped up, in terms of throwing.
• Playtimerewards have been changed.
• Playerlevels have been changed.
• The price of instant health pots, and enchanted golden apples have been decreased in /shop
• Items sent in /maildelivery will expire in 7 days.
• Updated all the relevant GUIs to ensure all items/data is accurate.
• 2 new stat-tracks have been added.
• The gang limit has been set to 5. This is upgradable to 8, with /g shop.
• We have removed /g boosters from the game.
• We have fixed an issue whereby KOTH was giving more keys than intended.
• Multiple in-game announcements from the server have been edited.
• The scheduled restart time has been moved forward by 45 minutes, to not interrupt the fishing contest.
• Anvils at spawn will no longer break.

Question and Answers

Why did KitPvP reset?​

​

KitPvP is already up for some time. A reset has to happen to change and improve with lots of excellent new features, to make the game more exciting for you all!​

​

This then allows you, the players, to have a fresh start and new players can begin to play without any significant disadvantage.​

This means all gangs, items, money, and the map will be reset. Nothing will be kept leftover from the previous map. I know this must be a disappointing revelation for a lot of you, but think about the exciting new changes, the new alliances you can forge, the new map, the new features and updates the different kinds of gameplay, and the style provided with this update will surely make it a worth-while and exciting reset!​
