Protection 6 and and Sharpness 6

Just a question.
Does protection 6 work as protection 6 or is protection 6 really protection 5?
same with sharpness.

P.S. people are selling item containing these and was wondering if it is worth to buy.

A better question- Everything that was removed is no longer available even if it was added before the update?

They disabled it due the fact that it was too OP. They removed the following things:
- Mending
- Protection 6
- Sharpness 6
- Blindess
And a few more custom enchants.

They changed for example slowness 5 to slowness 2 maximum.
They also added McMmo Boosters on tools.

They updated this because it was too OP in pvp. (Some fights which I participated even took up to 1.5 hour and nobody died. You just ended up with a full inventory of XP bottles and 1 stack gapples.

They also removed shout due the fact that it was more player friendly towards new players so they would not be ignored as much.

For users that still have Protection/Sharpness 6, they will remain working.
