Server Decline

A lot of people have been leaving the server recently. This is a growing problem. This is a trend we've been seeing a lot. Over the last 2 months, they're have been 15+ goodbye threads not to even mention the non-forum goodbyes. With the current number of players already this is very concerning to say the least. This decline is mostly because people aren't finding the server entertaining anymore. The lack of people could be the reason. Point is, we need to find a plan to draw people in quickly or efficiently. Just think about it this way, SC could run out of players in a year at that. But adding 5 people could save the server for a whole year (friends, more interest in the server)

What runs people out of this server is the fact that people want servers like eg and hg back and they want servers to be fixed when there's a problem. Not saying that sc doesn't do that just they don't spend all there time into it

HG and especially EG are large contributors to the player numbers, Swift has a point there. Both being down is likely the cause for some people leaving, but there are so many other factors that can contribute as well.

School, ragequitting, not caring much about Minecraft any more (there's a serious amount of people who've given up on getting quality updates for Vanilla), a new generation of players (there are a lot of people still playing who say "I remember in SC1 when...", while myself and other members may be much newer and not even know what the old Hub looks like), lack of videos displaying the server from popular Youtube accounts, lack of ability to find the server when browsing around for Minecraft Vanilla server...

So, of course, there are all sorts of reasons for why Snapcraft is getting less popular. It could also just be a phase in which the server is going through, and if it is, that's okay. I'm not sure that many people, as a whole, are leaving (as we've said before, "See you tomorrow").

15 goodbye threads are nothing, and they're actually hardly even goodbyes. They literally come back on the next day just to "check up" and "visit". We're at a pretty stable amount of daily players; you're just comparing two completely different times. You can't compare a weekend in summer while everyone's on vacation to a school day during the fall.

Snapcraft may not be huge anymore, but we're not dead. Also, closing this. This thread was made ages ago, not sure why you dug up a dinosaur.
