Slime Spawner Question *Urgent*

So I bought a slime spawner thru /ah for a whopping 50k. And I wanted to know if it works. Do slimes spawn or not. Only on slime chunks or everywhere? If on slime chunks how do I detect them?

Also if they do not spawn is it possible to classify this /ah investment a scam? Which is explicitly against the rules. Well, I also do not have screenshots O_O.

I believe the slime spawner is working as they would spawn.

They spawn only in slime chunks.

Like @Maarten said, they only spawn in Slime chunks. That's basically the only requirement for them to spawn.

Thank you all for answering my question, now a follow up question: how do I find slime chunks? I was told that swamps are also good places they spawn but I couldn't find swamps after a total of 37 hours playtime of searching for it. Please someone tell me how do find a slime chunk or a swamp.
