Why has there been little to no updates for ZombieV? I loved this gamemode more than any other

I have been playing on this server for approximately 6-7 years and ZombieV has to be my favorite, however I have noticed the past four years development slowed and barely any updates even went through, netherite equipment? new maps? PETS? they said pets coming soon for four years now...
