"Ethreal", "ripethreal", "ezsplit" - factions top 5 month 4 last map, actually it was triple payouts but looks like they are just going to get double payouts now since staff/owner doesn't care about it so yes that's a GG

They did not do a split to get /ftop. They are separate Factions just like other factions combined last season to get a higher reward. The definition of a split is that they're purely creating a secondary faction to get the reward and that is not what they did. They both have their own base and thus can be raided. However, we agree that the rules lack some clear guidelines regarding this and for that reason we will be rewriting the portion of the rules to clearly specify what we see as "splitting".
